The House

Ninety minutes,
when you want them.

Seven stations of hot and cold, then the quieter rooms of the house. Take the full circuit in order when you want the work. Take a single station, a room, or an afternoon the rest of the time. The rooms get quieter as you go.

The Onsen

The soak is the heart of the house. Mineral water held at 104°F, drawn over wet basalt under low light, in the Japanese tradition. Enter to the chest. Let the heat find you. Twelve minutes, then the cold.

II · ONSEN · 104°F

The Sauna

175°F to 200°F, basalt and timber, built for heat the way the Nordics and the banya keep it — not the timid warmth of a hotel gym.

IV · SAUNA · 198°F

The Steam

115°F at 92% humidity. Single-origin botanicals diffused in twelve-minute cycles — yomogi from Hokkaidō, hinoki from the Kiso Valley, a thread of yuzu at the solstice. The blend turns with the lunar week. The room is never the same room twice.

V · STEAM · 115°F

The Cold

Two ways down: a plunge at 39°F and an ice well at 46°F. The plunge is brief and total. The ice well is a discipline.

III · PLUNGE · 39°F

The Rain Room

The one cinematic indulgence: warm rain in the dark, falling on stone. The only room that performs.

THE RAIN ROOM

The Recline

Heated obsidian, low as a held breath. Silence is not requested here; it is kept. Phones never reach this room.

The recline room at Yumori — two heated obsidian loungers draped with white linen, a warm sconce on the left wall, an apothecary vase in a niche to the right
VII · RECLINE · 97°F

The Treatments

Three private rooms for massage and ritual. The oils are pressed from the same single-origin botanicals as the steam. One treatment is included each month with membership.

THE TREATMENTS

The Table

A garden lounge under a living moss wall, lit by daylight through hinoki and shoji. A seed-oil-free kitchen and an apothecary bar. Sit in a robe for as long as the afternoon allows.

The seven stations.

Taken in order, the way bodies have been reset for two thousand years. Hold each station for its full count. You will hold the cold longer than you think you can.

Sauna

Dry heat. Basalt and timber. Yomogi venik at the half-hour bell. Not the timid warmth of a hotel gym.

Built properly hot. The way it should be.

Aromatic steam. The apothecary rotates with the lunar week. Single-origin, no synthetic carriers.

Breathe the plant of the week.

One breath in. One long breath out.
